A precipitation silica with specified CTAB specific surface, DOP oil uptake, water uptake, pH, amount of residual anion and particle size. The precipitation silica has (1) CTAB specific surface 140-230 m g, preferably 145-195 m g, more preferably 150-185 m 2/g and most preferably 150-180 m g; (2) DOP oil uptake above 300ml/100g, preferably above 315-450 ml/100g, more preferably 320-44 ml/100g and most preferably 340-380 ml/100g; (3) a water uptake 3-6% and more preferably 4-5.8%; (4) pH 3.5-7.5, more preferably 4-7 and most preferably 4-6; (5) an amount of residual anion, expressed in sodium sulfate 2% or less, more preferably 1% or less and most preferably 0.5% or less; (6) average particle size 30mu m or less or 30mu m to 20mm.
