A foresight assembly (fig 1) for use with a firearm, comprises a hollow Sight Body 1, a hollow Cant Setting Sleeve 2 and at least one hollow Range Adaptor Element 3. Sight Body 1 is fixable to the barrel of the firearm and adapted to receive the Cant Setting Sleeve 2 itself adapted to receive at least one Range Adaptor Element 3 in a predetermined position. The Range Adaptor Element 3 contains a foresight element and is formed to be suitable for at least one predetermined range distance and sight-base. The arrangement is such that when Range Adaptor Element 3 is positioned within the Cant Setting Sleeve 2 the foresight assembly will be automatically zeroed without needing to adjust the rear-sight or the cheek piece of the firearm. Optionally, a horizontal level indicator 5, comprising a spirit level is also included, attachable to sight body 1. Other identified elements include level bars 9, female machine slots 10a male machine tabs 10; Clamp screw 6 and nut 6a, machine slot 11, dovetail slot 1a, clamping bolt 8 and knurled nut 8a.
