PERMEABLE DEBRIS DAM HAVING COMPOSITE STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permeable debris dam which is simple in structure, and assembled at a low cost.;SOLUTION: The debris dam has debris dam main bodies, an opening secured between the debris dam main bodies, a lower structure formed of a boulder catching member for catching a front portion of debris flow, in which boulders are conveyed, and an upper structure arranged above the lower structure and formed of a pebble group catching member for catching following debris flow in which a group of pebbles smaller in size than the boulders conveyed by the front portion of the debris flow, is conveyed. The debris dam is a combination of the lower and upper structures independent from each other. Specifically, the lower structure has a permeable structure consisting of a steel frame which is an assembly of steel members, and bottom slab concrete, while the upper structure is formed of a wire net fixed to the debris dam main bodies.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
