PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of not only bringing efficiency to maintenance, but also providing proper repair and fault prevention information to customers so as to improve the satisfaction of the customers and suppress the occurrence of trouble by utilizing a maintenance support system including a radio tag for the maintenance associated with an image forming apparatus. PSOLUTION: The maintenance support system includes: the radio tag 24 provided on renewal parts for maintenance of the performance; the image forming apparatus 40 including a first radio tag reader 13 for reading at least information of the radio tag 24 of the renewal parts and a worker for carrying out the maintenance work; a storage means for storing the read information in response to contents of the maintenance work; and a handy terminal 30 including a radio tag reader 31 or reading information stored in the storage means, and further includes: a first display means for displaying the contents of maintenance work such as information of the renewal parts by reading the stored maintenance contents from the storage means of the image forming apparatus 40; and a second display means for using a second read means to acquire the maintenance contents stored in the storage means to display the contents on the handy terminal 30.
