PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening structure for a rising surface such as a vertical surface which is tall one but designed so that enough water is supplied to culture media via water supply from beneath through utilizing capillary phenomenon to reduce or eliminate sprinkled water for irrigation.;SOLUTION: The greening structure for a rising surface such as a vertical surface is provided with a water catch 2, a water supply mat comprising a mat made of minute glass fibers each having an average fiber diameter of 0.2-5μm, and rising-state culture media material set at one side or both sides of the water supply mat therebetween, and designed so as to make planting at the rising surface part of the culture media material. The minute glass fiber mat is provided with expanding microcapsules as binder so that the microcapsules are expanded in the mat and the outer shell of the expanded microcapsules may be water-permeable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
