PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working liquid level detection device capable of stably and certainly detecting a working liquid level.;SOLUTION: A working tank and/or a table are/is connected to an earth. An electrode insulated and to detect the working liquid level is mounted on an upper guide 8. Voltage is applied between the electrode and the earthed working tank and/or table. The voltage between the electrode and the earthed working tank and/or table is detected by a voltage measurement device 30 and is compared with a specified threshold value by a voltage comparison device 40. The working liquid level rises, and an electric current flows between the electrode 10 making contact with the working liquid and the working tank or the table. A signal is output to a control device of a wire discharge working machine and it is informed that the working liquid is at a specified height level as voltage detected by the voltage measurement device 30 is lowered and becomes less than a threshold value of the voltage comparison device 40. It is possible to stably and certainly detect the working liquid level without sludge in the working liquid clogged between the electrodes and a signal conductor electrically corroded by the working liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
