PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell observation apparatus which can ensure a state hardly losing the activity of cells, confirm the identity of the cells over a long period, and simultaneously obtain the cell parameters of the identical cells with the passage of time.;SOLUTION: The cells are observed with cell image data obtained by imaging the cells received in a culture means 101 for culturing the cells. Therefore, the cells are easily observed in the same view range over a long period, and the cell parameters of identical cells can be obtained, while confirming the identity of the cells over a long period. Since the cells cultured therein are observed with an IR ray imaging means 211, the affection of an observation light on the cells is low controlled, and the activity of the cells are hardly lost, even when an observation period or culture period is long.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
