[Object] To provide a cell observation information processing system that can save, as much as possible, operation effort and time of users taken to acquire tags to be assigned to observation information on cells. [Measures for solution] The system includes a tag acquiring section 11 that acquires certain tags, as search tags for searching for observation information acquired by an observation information acquiring section 20 in response to an acquisition order at one time point; a storing section 12 that stores, into an archive section 13, respective sets of the observation information acquired at respective time points upon assigning to them the search tags; a retrieving section 15 that retrieves a list of tags as possible search tags from the archive section; and an output section 19 that outputs the list of tags to a presenting section 18. The retrieving section designates a narrowing-down criterion for narrowing down tags to be retrieved and retrieves the list of tags as a result of narrowing down with the designated narrowing-down criterion. The tag acquiring section acquires a tag selected by the user from the list of tags presented by the presenting section.
