PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further accurately obtain the collimation edge in a radiographic image and to obtain data on the collimation edge in a radiographic image in a manner simpler to an operator of the radiographic system.;SOLUTION: The collimation edge in the radiographic image 104 is positioned from the information 114 of the inside of the image. In an embodiment, the position of the collimation edge is determined only from the image informatoin. When the position of the collimation edge in the image is determined from the image itself, it satisfies the necessity in the technical field concerned to simple and high-accuracy positioning of the collimation edge in the radiographic image. The positioning of the collimation edge from the information derived from the image is effective in the radiographic system in which feedback from a positioner is incomplete or absent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
