PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material for restoring a bone deficit part and an affected part. PSOLUTION: A composite material is for promoting or inducing osteogenesis in a living body, and the composite material includes (A) cartilage cell having hypertrophy ability and (B) a scaffold having bio-compatibility to the living body. The method for manufacturing the composite material for promoting or inducing osteogenesis in the living body includes (A) a process for providing an obtained cartilage cell having hypertrophy ability, and (B) a process for culturing the cartilage cell having hypertrophy ability on the scaffold having bio-compatibility to the living body.
