PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for expanding a tube upon production of a UOE steel tube and a device for practicing the tube expanding method where the uniformization of the wear amount of dies and the improvement in the roundness of the steel tube are attained.;SOLUTION: All the outer circumferential parts of a plurality of dies 1 fitted to a tube expanding device are each provided with a groove part 1a for avoiding excess metal 2a on the inner circumferential side in the weld zone of each steel tube 2. When a plurality of the steel tubes 2 are successively extended by the tube expanding device, per the steel tube 2 to be extended, each die 1 relatively corresponding to the excess metal 2a in the steel tube 2 is changed by rotating the steel tube 2 to the circumferential direction, so as to perform tube expanding.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
