PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave dissipating structure which is constructed at a low cost and dissipates long period waves effectively.;SOLUTION: The wave dissipating structure comprises: a hardly-water-permeable wall part 1; a foundation mound 2; a revetment caisson 3; and a sea wave resonance space 4. A hardly-water-permeable high floor part 5 is arranged in the resonance space 4 in such a manner that crushed stones, etc. are piled up to substantially form a block-like shape, coefficient permeability is set to be 1 m/sec or less, the rear end face 5c on the land side is brought into tight contact with a part of a sea wave reflection surface 1a, and the front part on the sea side is connected to a top face 2b3 of the foundation mound 2 to form a steep slope. A water depth value hd at an upper end face 5b of the high floor part 5 is set to have an appropriate value within a range of 0.5 to 5 m. The water depth at the resonance space 4 is set to become shallow sharply from a water depth D at the top face 2b3 of the foundation mound 2 to the water depth value hd near a position P5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
