PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specific gene expression to cardiac or vascular smooth muscle. PSOLUTION: Disclosed is a process for expressing a gene product in the cardiac muscle cell, comprising the steps of (a) infusing an adenovirus vector construct including a coding sequence encoding the gene product into the blood flow of an coronary artery or coronary sinus perfusing the cardiac muscle cell, wherein the vector drives expression of the gene product in the cardiac muscle cell; and (b) obtaining expression of the gene product in the cardiac muscle cell.
