PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that digital broadcast does not include a means for rapidly notifying that information for the owner of a receiver is being received, for example, when urgent information such as a news flash of the occurrence of an earthquake or desired information previously designated by the recipient is distributed by broadcast.;SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver having a digital broadcast receiving function has a subtitle/character superimposed data searching means for searching subtitle/character superimposed data included in the contents of the digital broadcast to be received in accordance with previously designated conditions; and an attention calling means for calling attention of the user of the digital broadcast receiver when the subtitle/character superimposed data searching means detects the reception of the subtitle/character superimposed broadcast corresponding to a previously designated condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
