INDEPENDENT TYPE MEASURING AND SIGNAL PROCESSING PROBE FOR PRELIMINARY SURVEY ON PITS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to carry out any preliminary survey on some geologic formation for the purpose of short-term characteristic evaluation of the utility of permanently installed measuring equipment, especially to enable an evaluation of the characteristics of fractured zone formation by pressing fit fluid into there.;SOLUTION: This invention is related to an independent type measuring and signal processing probe to go down through a pit tube and is temporarily installed on pit bottoms. This probe is provided with releasable fixing means (3, 4) with a function to install the probe in a pit casing at the pit bottom, a pair of sensors including at least an earthquake sensor, recording means, data processing means to process measurement data obtained by the sensors, and a central body (1) through which an open passage (2) is formed to the full length of pit to allow the free pass of the probe through the passage (2). This probe can be used to make a more reliable preliminary survey on the pit before the installation of a more perfect observation system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
