PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for treating a digestive liquid by which an ammonia component can be recovered from a digestive liquid with high efficiency, and which can be operated at a low cost as well, and to provide an apparatus therefor. PSOLUTION: A digestive liquid L0 is dehydrated and is separated into a dehydrated cake C and a filtrate L1 after dehydration, the dehydrated cake C is effectively utilized as a compost, and a concentrated liquid obtained by concentrating the filtrate L1 after dehydration is effectively utilized as the compost. By further concentrating a first condensed liquid L2 produced in concentrating the filtrate L1 after dehydration, a second condensed liquid L4 comprising ammonia at high concentration and a second concentrated liquid L5 comprising ammonia only at low concentration of environmental standard value or less are obtained, thus the second condensed liquid L4 is effectively utilized as liquid compost or the like, and the second concentrated liquid L5 is discharged to river or the like.
