PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in weight and further prevent the periphery of a yoke from being brought into contact with a magnet in a claw pole-type generator having laminated yokes and a power generation hub using the same. PSOLUTION: A generator includes a claw pole-type generating mechanism 20. The claw pole-type generating mechanism includes the permanent magnets displaced on a circumference; and an inside fixing unit 42 that has an annular coil placed inside the permanent magnets and the yoke 46 so disposed that the coil is encircled with the yoke 46 and is disposed so that it can be rotated relative to the permanent magnets. The yoke includes a stator yoke placed between the coil and the permanent magnets, and a core yoke that is magnetically coupled with the stator yoke and is placed inside the coil. The stator yoke has multiple sets of first and second laminated yokes 60 and 61 that are formed of multiple laminated plate-like pieces 62 and are disposed opposite to each other in the axial direction with the coil in-between. The inside fixing unit 42 further has a cover member 49 that covers at least part of the outer circumferential surfaces of both the laminated yokes 60 and 61. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
