PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress measurement method utilizing an infrared imager capable of enhancing accuracy of measurement by correcting the measured stress in even members, on which bending and axial force are imposed in complicated manner.;SOLUTION: In the stress measurement method where iterative loading is posed to an object to be measured, temperature of the member is measured by an infrared imager in a contactless manner, and the stress of object to be measured is derived from the measured temperature, key points are to measure phase lag between the waveforms of load stress generated when iterative loading is applied and the waveforms of measured stress acquired from the infrared imager, to compute measurement errors caused by heat conduction in the object to be measured from this phase lag, and to correct the measured stress, by multiplying the correction coefficient compensating this measurement error with the measured stress.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
