PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stage device which is in simple structure and makes an excellent response and a hand shake correcting device for a camera using the stage device. PSOLUTION: The stage device is characterized in that an X-directional moving member 30 is supported by an L-shaped Y-directional moving member 20 supported on a fixed support substrate 10 movably in a Y direction to relatively move in an X direction: the X directional moving member is provided with a projection portion 35; the projection portion is supported on the fixed support substrate to relatively move in a plane parallel to the fixed support substrate; and a rotation restricting support portion 17 is provided which restricts rotation of the X-directional moving member on an X-directional rod-shaped portion 22 of the Y-directional moving member 20.
