PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stage device capable of driving a stage plate by small driving force, even when the weight of the stage plate is large, and a camera-shake correcting device. PSOLUTION: The stage device is equipped with driving means MX and MY fixed to a fixed support substrate 20; a first motive power transmitting mechanism which is provided between the fixed support substrate and the stage plate 40, and transmits the driving force of the driving means to the stage plate so as to make the stage plate slide; a balancer 50 capable of sliding relative to the fixed support substrate and having nearly the same weight as the stage plate; and a second motive power transmitting mechanism which is provided between the fixed support substrate and the balancer, and transmits the driving force of the driving means to the balancer so as to make the balancer slide by substantially the same distance, in a direction opposite to that of the stage plate, while synchronizing the balancer with the stage plate.
