DUPLICATED VOLUME GENERATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, DISK ARRAY DEVICE, AND DUPLICATED VOLUME GENERATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

摘要

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a duplicated volume by dividing one work volume into groups, and to assign those groups to different servers using the duplicated volume for achieving the generation management of the duplicated volume for every purpose of use. PSOLUTION: This system for preparing a duplicated volume image corresponding to a work volume in a disk array device is provided with a work server 10 for calling a module based on the preparation instruction of the duplicated volume and the erasure instruction of the duplicated volume to the disk array device and a disk array device 20 having firmware 21 for holding the module, a work volume 22 and duplicated volume groups 23 to 25 for holding the duplicated volumes corresponding to the work volume over a plurality of generations whose duplicated volume group information is assigned to each server which uses the duplicated volume for executing the corresponding module in response to the calling of the module from the work server.
