DUST REMOVER, AND REMOVAL METHOD FOR GRIT AND SCREEN RESIDUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust remover which facilitates the maintenance of the device, and enables easy restart of operation even when a large amount of gravel is accumulated in the lower part of the dust remover during the stop of the operation.;SOLUTION: The dust remover comprises a screen for removing screen residues from flowing water, a pair of endless chains which are installed in both sides of the screen in the width direction and in which links composing the chains are connected so as to be rotated to a prescribed angle, a scraping plate which is connected to the pair of the endless chains, and scrapes up grit accumulated on the bottom of a water passage below the screen and the screen residues caught by the screen accompanied with the rotation of a pair of the endless chains, a drive sprocket which is installed in the upper part of the endless chain above the water surface, a support means which supports a part of the inside of the descending side of the endless chain, and a position adjusting means which displaces the position of the support means to enable the adjustment of the height position of the lowest part of the endless chain.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
