METHOD FOR EVALUATING EFFICACY OF PARENTERAL ADMINISTRATION FOR TREATING BONE DISEASE AND REMEDY FOR VERTEBRAL BODY FRACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remedy for vertebral body fracture, capable of accelerating repair of the vertebral body fracture which is one of main causes of deterioration in quality of life of an aged person, capable of inhibiting progress of collapse of a vertebral body after the fracture, and used as a safe parenteral administration.;SOLUTION: This remedy for the vertebral body fracture contains methyl 4-{[2-((1R,2R,3R)-3-hydroxy-2-{(1E,3S)-3-hydroxy-4-[3-(methoxymethyl)phenyl]but-1-en-1-yl}-5-oxocyclopentyl)ethyl]thio}butanoate, a solvate thereof, or a clathrate compound thereof. The remedy exhibits bone density improving action and fracture repair accelerating action and inhibits the collapse of the vertebral body after the fracture, so that the remedy is useful as a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for bone disease, especially, the vertebral body fracture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
