PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst for hydrocracking wax-containing raw material oil, which is used when the wax-containing raw material oil is hydrotreated and with which a kerosene/light oil fraction having excellent quality is obtained with high selectivity in high yield, and to provide a method for hydrocracking the wax-containing raw material oil effectively by using the catalyst.;SOLUTION: This catalyst for hydrocracking the wax-containing raw material oil is obtained by depositing a noble metal component on a carrier composed of zeolite and a binder.
