PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error signal detecting method for an optical head capable of highly accurately positioning an objective lens, concerning a diffraction device and a light receiving device used for the same, optical head and an optical recording/reproducing device using these, regarding the error signal detecting method of an optical head used for positioning an objective lens for converging an optical beam on an optical recording medium.;SOLUTION: An optical beam 27 emitted from a light source is converged through an objective lens on an optical recording medium, the optical beam 27 reflected on the optical recording medium is diffracted by a hologram element 23 to be separated into 0 and 1 order lights 26 and 28 and to be converged on a light receiving element 25, a track position shifting error signal for adjusting the track shifting of an objective lens is detected by using the 0 order light 26, and a focus shifting error signal for adjusting the focus shifting of the objective lens is detected by using the 1 order light 28.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
