PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of easily measuring the osmotic pressure of body fluid such as blood or urine in order to quickly specify a factor and execute appropriate treatment in the case that a body becomes abnormal drastically due to dehydration, central diabetes insipidus or diabetes mellitus.;SOLUTION: In order to quickly measure the osmotic pressure of the body fluid of a patient whose condition has changed suddenly in a medical field, it is desirable that a body fluid sample is collected by a lowly invasive method and it is immediately measured on the spot. Such treatment is achieved by providing a sensor for measuring the osmotic pressure for the small amount of the sample sucked by using the capillary phenomenon similarly to a blood sugar level sensor widely used at present. In this invention, the sensor of a system of bringing two electrodes into contact with the body fluid of the sample, applying an AC voltage between the electrodes, obtaining conductivity from a current at the time, and estimating the osmotic pressure from the conductivity further is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
