Distributed model is applied to derive expressions for fluid flux across peritoneal surface and effective fluid transport parameters, using local descriptions of fluid transport through the capillary wall and interstitium, for fluid transport driven by hydrostatic and osmotic pressure gradients. Some explicit formulas for fluid flux across the peritoneal surface and for hydrostatic pressure at the external surface are obtained using exponential approximation for the solute concentration profile in the tissue.
