PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator neutron source capable of generating neutron stably by performing cooling of a metal target excellently and a boron neutron acquisition treatment system using this.;SOLUTION: The accelerator neutron source 6 generates neutrons using a proton beam 10 accelerated by a linear accelerator such as an RFQ linac 2 and a drift tube linac 3. The accelerator neutron source has a metal target 11 of a plate shape on which the proton beam 10 is irradiated and a cooling device 15 which has cooling water passages 12a-12e inside and on one side surface 13 of which the metal target 11 is jointed and in which the one side surface 13 has an area larger than that of the jointing part 14 with the metal target 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
