PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for each house, which has the battery consumption reduced and has the battery lifetime prolonged.;SOLUTION: The receiver for each house includes a reception part 2 for receiving broadcasting from a master station, a monitor part 7 for detecting whether the receiver is operated by an AC power or a battery and monitoring a detection result, a detection means 16 having a normally opened switch 10 provided between a battery 12 and the monitor part 7, and a control part 3 for controlling the switch 10 in accordance with a signal received by the reception part 2 to connect/disconnect the battery 12 and the monitor part 7. A battery capacity of the battery 12 is detected by the detection means 16 by connecting the battery 12 and the monitor part 7 in the case of broadcasting from the master station, and the battery 12 and the monitor part 7 are disconnected in the other case.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
