PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving cell therapy in a patient suffering from a cardiovascular disease or a neurological disease undergoing the cell therapy. PSOLUTION: The shock waves are used as a therapeutic means for the purpose of gradually increasing stem and/or progenitor cells to a tissue of the patient affected by the disease. A method for improving the tissue regeneration in the patient suffering from the cardiovascular or neurological disease and a method for treating the cardiovascular or neurological disease in the patient are provided. The use of the stem and/or progenitor cells for producing a pharmaceutical composition for treating the patient suffering from the cardiovascular disease or neurological disease is characterized as carrying out the therapy with the shock waves before, during or after administration of the stem and/or progenitor cells to the patient.
