METHOD FOR PRODUCING HIGH-WATER-HOLDING TYPE WATER-ABSORBING RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water-absorbing resin having high water absorption ratio enough to fully exert water-absorbing capacity even in a small amount and even under no pressure or heavy load when worn as a water-absorbing element such as sanitary goods.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the water-absorbing resin comprises the following process: An unsaturated carboxylic acid ammonium salt and another monomer, 0 mol% or greater but less than 5 mol% of a polymerizing crosslinking agent and 0 mol% or greater but less than 5 mol% of a condensation-type crosslinking agent are subjected to polymerization, and the resulting polymer is dried and then heat-treated. In this method, the heat treatment is conducted in such a way that heat-treatment temperature and heat-treatment time are controlled under specific conditions respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
