摘要

Newer synthetics are going of late to be put on the market one after another here in Japan. For the blending with these fibers wool is generally planned to fill the purpose.It should be most important, however, especially in the present status of our rayon industry, to appropriate rayon for that purpose after applying some novel treatments if possible.Although so to say the "woolification"of rayn has not yet fully been successful in any country, one of the authors got an idea from the foregoing researches of treating rayon, as an approach to obtaining a more "woolly functioned rayon", by the heating and Quenching"method, and then treating with another one forming outer film and lastly applying mechanical treatments. the present paper is one of the preliminaries, and deals with the effects of outer resins on the yarn so processed.
