GLASS OCARINA, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND MOLDING MOLD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel glass ocarina where shrinkage at molding and baking is suppressed and where the variations of a musical interval and a tone color are reduced, its manufacturing method and a molding die. PSOLUTION: A wax prototype for the ocarina is made by using wax which is the mixture of a paraffin and beeswax. Refractory gypsum is mixed with water in a molding box having a needed size. The wax prototype for the ocarina is sunk in it before hardening and a refractory gypsum mold 4 is taken out after hardening. The wax prototype for the ocarina is melted in hot water and then a gypsum mold for shaping at firing is obtained. The refractory gypsum mold 4 is used for manufacturing the glass ocarina. Glass is fired together with the refractory gypsum mold 4 in a firing furnace and molded. The glass ocarina 5 is taken out by crushing the refractory gypsum mold after firing, polished and completed.
