PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt tension detector capable of detecting stably and linearly a tension acting on a belt.;SOLUTION: In this belt tension detector 10, a Hall element sensor 20 is fixedly arranged on an axis ϕ of a ring magnet 12 formed ring-likely and having four magnetic poles, and a magnetic flux state (change of magnetic flux density) of the ring magnet 12 in an arranged position of the Hall element sensor 20 is detected by the Hall element sensor 20 to detect the tension acting along a longitudinal direction of the webbing belt. A magnetic flux (magnetic flux passing the Hall element sensor 20) of the ring magnet 12 is formed uniformly and linearly in the arranged position of the Hall element sensor 20, and the Hall element sensor 20 detects the magnetic flux formed uniformly and linearly, as a result. A linear (uniform and linear) output characteristic is obtained thereby.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
