PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deciding the dry state of a refractory, a supervisory unit for dried state and a method for controlling the refractory setting work, for shortening time necessary for the drying process of the refractory, in new arrangement work or repairing work of the refractory to be arranged in a blast furnace.;SOLUTION: This dry state supervising unit 10 is provided with a temperature measuring instrument 20 being the back surface temperature measuring means for measuring the temperature on the back surface of the refractory at the upper part of the furnace and a dry state decision means 30 for deciding that the drying of the water-based refractory is completed, when the temperature on the back surface of the refractory measured with this back surface temperature measuring means exceeds a prescribed temperature of not lower than the boiling point of water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
