PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting time extension method of calcium-binding type light-emitting protein solution that instantly emits light with calcium ions. PSOLUTION: In a light-emitting reaction system of the calcium-binding type light-emitting protein solution, a light-emitting reaction is performed in the presence of a negative ion capable of binding with a calcium ion or a positive ion substitutable for the calcium ion, and/or a positive ion that can bind to a calcium binding part of the calcium-binding type light-emitting protein with an affinity weaker than that of the calcium ion or the positive ion substitutable for the calcium ion and does not activate the calcium-binding type light-emitting protein.
