PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone capable of continuing grasp of a present position in an emergency situation. PSOLUTION: When a special message for designating an emergency process is received by a mail of a mobile phone etc., a control unit enters into an "emergency processing mode". When entering into the "emergency processing mode", the control unit detects the present position of the mobile phone by a GPS unit etc., and transmits it to a transmission source of the special message. When an off operation of a power supply is operated, the mobile phone is set in an off state seemingly by turning off a display unit, LEDs, etc., while a communication function and a position detecting function are made to be operated continuously, keeping detection and transmission of the present position continuously. Thereby the present position of the mobile phone can be transmitted continuously without being noticed by a person who have operated the off operation of the power supply, and the user who is monitoring the present position of the mobile phone can continue the grasp of the present position of the mobile phone being monitored even when the off operation has been performed.
