PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolving door substantially free form an accident of catching something in, while maintaining a function of airtightness etc.;SOLUTION: In this revolving door, a plurality of door bodies revolve on a cylindrical shaft in a cylindrical housing wherein openings and arc-shaped panels are alternately arranged on a cylindrical side surface of a cylinder. The door body comprises a panel-like movable door part which is housed in a frame body so as to be horizontally slidable along the frame body, a force sensing part which is formed in the movable door part so as to receive a force acting in the sliding direction of the movable door part, and a parallel movement mechanism which moves the movable door part in parallel, in response to the force applied to the force sensing part. In the housing, at least either of a ceiling and a floor is equipped with a guide part. The guide part makes the force act on the force sensing part with the revolution of the door body, reduces the horizontal length of the door body by gradually sliding the movable door part from the state of being in the predetermined position of the opening, so as to put the length into a minimum state almost in the position of a boundary between the opening and the arc-shaped panel part, and subsequently guides the movable door part to allow the door body to restore the length gradually until the door body reaches the side surface of the cylinder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
