PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable leg muscle strength of a subject to be easily calculated without loading a large load on the subject. PSOLUTION: An acceleration sensor 108 measures accelerations of a subject which act in directions of axes x, y, and z orthogonal to each other. Based on a ratio between a first acceleration value of the acceleration acting on the z axis measured by the acceleration sensor 108 and a second acceleration value of the synthetic value of accelerations acting on the x, y, and z axes measured by the acceleration sensor 108, the leg muscle strength having correlation with the ratio is calculated by a CPU 112.
