PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that acquires a front image by a simple process by limiting the shape of an object plane to a rectangle.;SOLUTION: The method for generating front image data on an object by a computer from original image data imaging the object obliquely has a step S3 of setting coordinates of four vertices of a rectangular area parallel to a face of the object that should be the front in the original image data, steps S4 to S6 of calculating a geometric relation between the camera that has picked up the original image and the object, and internal parameters of the camera according to the coordinates of the four vertices, and a step S7 of converting the original image data to front image data according to the geometric relationship and internal parameters.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
