PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable administrators to obtain information for managing a logical volume of which managing authority the administrators have.;SOLUTION: A storage system comprises a plurality of logical volumes managed by different administrators respectively and a controller that controls a plurality of logical volumes. First identification information for identifying a logical volume for each of the plurality of logical volumes, first management information of the logical volume associated with the first identification information, and correspondence relationships between the first identification information and an administrator identification information of an administrator having an authority for managing the logical volume identified by the first identification information are recorded in the storage system. When the storage system receives an instruction having the administrator identification information of the administrator according to the input by the administrator who manages one of the plurality of the logical volumes, it outputs the first management information of the logical volume identified by the first identification information associated with the received administrator identification information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
