PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coloring porous pebbles for plant cultivation in which porous pebbles are impregnated with a coloring agent more inside and can prevent discoloration of the pebbles and provide colored porous pebbles. PSOLUTION: In this method for coloring the pumice (porous pebbles) to be used for plant cultivation, a prescribed frequency in the range of the same as or smaller than the natural frequency of the whole pumice in a state where the pumices are stacked, particular a prescribed frequency of 20 Hz to 200 Hz is applied to a mixture of absolutely dried pumice and an aqueous coloring matter so that the whole pumice in the stacked state may become near resonant and the pumice is allowed to be vibrated and colored and colored pumice (porous pebbles) are provide.
