PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform control of a call originating in a portable telephone set, the control which prevents a calling rate from being caused during the input of a telephone number of an incoming side telephone set, etc., in communication via a telephone exchange etc. arranged by a type 2 carrier etc., and which therefore effectively prevents the occurrence of an imperfect calling.;SOLUTION: An external connection device 10 provided with a storage means 11 stored with a predetermined preset number and a program to control the dial call originating of the portable telephone set, is connected to the external connection terminal 33 of the portable telephone set 30, and the dial call originating is performed. By using the program stored in the external connection device 10, the incoming side telephone number is inputted to the portable telephone set 30 connected to the external connection device 10, or the incoming side telephone number is selected from the telephone numbers which are registered beforehand in the memory 31a of the portable telephone 30. Then the dial call originating to the incoming side telephone number is commanded.
