PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly interesting tightrope walking toy exhibiting an action wherein an animal figure such as a monkey or a doll goes across a tightrope while hauling away on the rope and hanging down from the rope such as ivy.;SOLUTION: A toy body 1 is provided with left/right arm bodies 26 and 27 and left/right leg bodies 32 and 33 turned in the front/rear direction, an operating mechanism turning the left/right arm bodies 26 and 27 and the left/right leg bodies 32 and 33 left/right alternately in the front/rear direction, and a driving mechanism driving the operating mechanism. The operating mechanism reciprocatingly and turnably operates the left/right arm bodies 26 and 27 and the left/right leg bodies 32 and 33 in the front/rear direction with engagement parts of the left/right arm bodies 26 and 27 and the left/right leg bodies 32 and 33 engaged with a rod-shaped body 45 and the toy body 1 hanging down therefrom, and the toy body 1 moves along the rod-shaped body 45 to exhibit the action of tightrope walking.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
