PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor and time required for regulation of a functional pattern of a metal mask and also to reduce the manufacturing cost of the metal mask.;SOLUTION: An elastic area 4 is provided along the outer periphery of the functional pattern 3 of the metal mask 1. In this constitution, the position and shape of the functional pattern 3 are regulated by pulling the functional pattern 3 by pressing a prescribed portion of the elastic area 4 by an elastic deformation giving means 7.
