PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating pavement body for snow-melting and a snow-melting method of a pavement body capable of heating up to a temperature enabling almost the whole body of the heating pavement body to melt snow within a short time in comparison with the conventional electric heating element, melting snow quickly corresponding to snowfall and freezing, at the same time, reducing power cost necessary for snow-melting and stably melting snow for a long period of time without having any fear of disconnection in comparison with the conventional electric heating element.;SOLUTION: The heating pavement body for snow melting is equipped with an electromagnetic wave waveguide embedded in the pavement body, an electromagnetic wave absorbing material provided to the surface layer side of the pavement body, a high frequency oscillator mounted to the electromagnetic wave waveguide, at least in either in the case a temperature on the surface side of the pavement body becomes a predetermined snow-melt starting temperature or in the case the snowfall is detected, the high frequency oscillator is oscillated and controlled to make waveguide in the electromagnetic wave waveguide, an electromagnetic wave emitted from the electromagnetic wave waveguide is irradiated and controlled to the electromagnetic wave absorbing material and, at the same time, when the surface side temperature of the pavement body reaches a temperature higher than the temperature capable of melting snow and the controller interruptedly controlling the oscillation driving of the high frequency oscillator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
