PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illicit use preventing method for digital content, capable of preventing illicit use of a digital content distributed in a peer-to-peer network while promoting the distribution of the digital content.;SOLUTION: A digital content 10 has a header part 12 and a data body 11. The data body 11 is encrypted while missing a part of a bit length different from a decoding bit length, so as to close up the missing part, and occupant specification information for specifying the previous occupant of the digital content 10 is recorded in the header part 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
