PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit mirroring processing between an unused area secured on each data storage means with the other unused area secured by a data storage means of the other printer by unitarily managing the unused area of the data storage means that a printer on a network has. PSOLUTION: This server device is so configured that; an unused area securable on an external memory 14 provided to the printer 301 is identified; a mirror area for copying information to be registered in the unused area securable on the external memory 14 is set on an external memory of the other printer on the network; and notifies the other printer which should secure the set mirror area of mirror area information.
