PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film magnetic head which sets the response of protrusion of a magnetic coil element by a heat generating body to be equivalent to the response by a coil layer, for properly solving the problem wherein the writing initial characteristics are deficient, and to provide an HGA provided with the thin-film magnetic head, and a magnetic disk device provided with the HGA. PSOLUTION: The thin-film magnetic head is provided with a writing magnetic head element, having a magnetic pole layer and at least one first heat generation layer generating heat for thermally expanding the writing magnetic head element. The thin-film magnetic head is provided, in which the at least one first heat generation layer is brought into contact with the magnetic pole layer, or is connected to the magnetic pole layer via at least one thermal conductive layer.
