PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information search device that can present a user with a search result immediately reflecting the user's preference at the search while maintaining user operability. PSOLUTION: The information search device comprises a genre search part 111 for extracting program information in genres, a genre holding part 102 for storing genre information, an operation screen display key 103a for inputting a command signal to execute a genre search into the genre search part 111, and a cross key 103b for inputting a specification signal specifying genre information into the genre search part 111. The genre search part 111, when the operation screen display key 103a inputs the command signal, executes a group search according to the genre information selected from the genre holding part 102, and when the cross key 103b inputs the specification signal, executes a genre search according to the genre information associated with the specification signal and stores the genre information in the genre holding part 102.
